“In my career at Johnson & Johnson, there have always been opportunities to grow as a professional, but the move into a different Johnson & Johnson company has been even more rewarding. I have learned about a completely different business model, and from its unique set of challenges I have expanded my breadth and depth of knowledge, skills and accomplishments. Through Johnson & Johnson’s integrated and seamless approach to deploying talent across the enterprise, employees are given the opportunity to enhance their development and career plans, gain new skills and knowledge and broaden their professional network.
After several years of experience with Johnson and Johnson Medical Companies, I took the opportunity to transfer into a role at Johnson & Johnson Inc. - the Consumer products sector. This career move was very important to me for two reasons: firstly, it allowed me to stay within the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies - a company that stands for making a positive difference in peoples’ lives; and secondly, it allowed me to explore new interests, and continue to learn and grow as a professional. In addition to gaining new knowledge and skills, I have been able to utilize my experience from one company and apply it to another, adding great value to my role and the organization. Overall, this cross company experience has helped me become a more versatile and well-rounded professional.
By offering cross company opportunities, Johnson & Johnson makes it very possible to continuously grow and be challenged in your career. Making the decision to join Johnson & Johnson many years ago has proven to be very rewarding in my career progression.”

“Our Credo is an incredible document that has provided Johnson & Johnson with a framework of fundamental values for more than 60 years, and the fact that it is just as relevant today as when it was introduced is truly incredible. Not only does Our Credo provide a framework for making tough decisions but it also sets clear priorities, while promoting trust, respect, fairness and caring across the organization, and with all of our key stakeholders.
In my roles at J&J I have had to face numerous situations and decisions regarding product supply, and Our Credo is always at the foundation of those decisions. It is utilized and discussed in the decision-making process and ultimately guides what we do and how we act as individuals and as an organization. J&J’s commitment to live by Our Credo values is truly special. With all employees participating in regular Credo training and in an annual survey to measure employee perception of how well we are meeting these values, I feel confident and proud that Johnson & Johnson will remain true to the core values that have been established in Our Credo.”

Johnson & Johnson has always been receptive to new ideas and this brings out the best that the individual has to offer. I’ve always believed that good ideas come from all sides and having people with different backgrounds and experience helps us make better business decisions. As you walk into our office, you can see people from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Our senior management is a great representation of our diversity. We have various Employee Resource Groups, which are inclusive, voluntary and employee-driven organized around a particular shared interest. Their main intent is to create an open forum for idea exchange and strengthen the linkage to and within diverse communities.
As a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Cabinet, I am part of a team that leads initiatives to celebrate the friendly, open and inclusive culture at Johnson & Johnson Canada. Our team operates under 4 pillars — Workforce, Workplace, Marketplace and External Stakeholders. We aim to recruit and retain a diverse workforce that reflects the global marketplace, fosters a culture of inclusion and innovation in the workplace, leverages diversity to identify new growth opportunities that cater to the multicultural society in Canada and establishes Johnson & Johnson as an industry leader in diversity within our community.
Working for Johnson & Johnson has been a very rewarding and satisfying experience. What stands out to me in our diverse work environment are the smiles with which people greet and respect with which people treat one another. I feel that our credo and our people are our key strengths and I am very proud and honored to be a part of this team.
